Out of the early crops of the World Champion Vigo d’Arsouilles, Funky Music is a daughter of the highly influential Lhasa, by Goliath Z. Lhasa’s first offspring, Quartz-Music, was a direct hit as she grew out into a world-class horse and even a World Cup contender under Gilles Bertan de Balanda.

Funky Music is the next offspring that made it into the upper echelons of the sport. Under Belgian rider Ann CartonGrootjans she grew into a very competitive Grand Prix horse that even competed in World Cups. Funky Music’s own first crop gave Bretling du Paradis Z, who jumped up to 1.60m level under Rik Hemeryck. Two years later El Torreo de Muze was born. This approved stallion by Taran de la Pomme jumped at the very highest level with Bernardo Alves, and scored a victory at 1.60m in the CSIO4* of Rabat.

Next in line were Musique de Muze, by Diamant de Semilly, and Macon de Muze, by Elvis Ter Putte, both competing at 1.45m, and Next Funky de Muze, also by Elvis Ter Putte, competing at 1.50m. A younger brother of Funky Music is Krapuul F, who has been successful with nearly all the Philippaerts brothers.

Funky Music’s older sister, Coco van ‘t Laerhof Z, gave 2 horses that are already competing at 1.50m or higher. One of them is Fortis Fortuna of Daniel Coyle. Together they gained 17 podium places in FEI competitions, 12 of them were victories. Fortis Fortuna in her turn is the dam of four horses performing between 1.50m and 1.60m, with H5 Just The Music of Carlos Hank Guerreiro, and Sea Coast B52 F Z being the most famous ones.
